LSFN: This session we profile Coach Jamie Humphries of Wellman-Union, A Division 1 school in Region 1 District 4. Other schools in this district are Lorenzo, Meadow, New Home, and Ropesville Ropes.
LSFN: How long have you been at Wellman-Union?
Coach Humphries: I have been at Wellman-Union for 9 years..
LSFN: What is your record here?
Coach Humphries: 1 and 9.
LSFN: How many years have you been coaching?
Coach Humphries:I have been coaching 11 years.
LSFN: What other schools have you coached at?
Coach Humphries: I coached at Klondike for two years prior to coming here.
LSFN: What is your overall record as a head coach?
Coach Humphries: 1 and 9 overall as Head Coach.
LSFN: Where did you attend high school?
Coach Humphries: I attended High School at Panther Creek in the big city of Voss.
LSFN: What year did you graduate?
Coach Humphries: I graduated in 1991.
LSFN: Did you play football?
Coach Humphries: Yes. Everyone played football at PC.
LSFN: What position?
Coach Humphries: I played spreadback and corner.
LSFN: Who was your coach?
Coach Humphries: My coach was Alan Luker?
LSFN: Where did you get your college degree?
Coach Humphries: I graduated from Angelo State University.
LSFN: What classes are you certified to teach?
Coach Humphries: I am certified in secondary science, IPC, health and PE.
LSFN: Are you married?
Coach Humphries: Yes I am. I married Melissa Cornelius.
LSFN: Do you have children?
Coach Humphries: Three Children, their names are Cade age 7, Jace age 3 and Hallie is eight weeks old..
LSFN: What do you like best about coaching?
Coach Humphries: I enjoy being a part of athletics maturing and learning to work as a team for a common goal.
LSFN: What do you like least about coaching?
Coach Humphries: I dislike students and parents who only care about themselves and have no commitment to team or school.
LSFN: What are your hobbies?
Coach Humphries: My hobbies are watching sports and spending time with my family.
LSFN: Tell us a little known Fact about your self.
Coach Humphries: I am a Texas Longhorn fan.
LSFN: If you were not coaching what would you be doing?
Coach Humphries: I would most likely do something with computers and technology..
LSFN: Which shoe do you put on first?
Coach Humphries: I put on my left shoe first.
